Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

It was the summer of 2008 and the well-known writers’ strike, which we all TV series fans totally supported, was however making our lives quite unpleasant, leaving us without our favourites worlds, our favourites characters, our favourites plots… It did hit the routine of millions of people and changed the course of a lot of story lines. But, in the middle of all the demonstrations, in the middle of news and interviews of actors and directors who supported the strike, one thing caught our eyes, here in the Internet: Josh Whedon, the director of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the great Firefly and other TV series and films, together with some members of his family and friends and without making any money with it, was making a 43-minute musical film in three parts, which was going to be freely premiered on the Internet, in its very site: http://www.drhorrible.com.

It was a boom. Not only because it was the only one new chaptered fantasy story out to watch, but also because it was the newest creation of one of the most famous directors of this kind of art. The film’ site cracked each of the three weeks the day its chapters were released, and this is still online to be watched for free. Sadly, the server where it was uploaded can only be used from USA, but I’ve embeded the three parts of it with Spanish subtitles right in this post, in case some of you are interested. I didn’t find it with English subs or with no subs at all, but you can easily download it from the Internet and you’ll be breaking no laws by doing it. 😉

Hope you like it as much as I do!
